DigitalBits reports that at a panel at the C2E2 comic convention in Chigago, Steve Sansweet, Head of Fan Relations at Lucasfilm, told that they are working on a Blu-ray box with all six Star Wars movies and loaded with extras, for release “in the not too distant future.” He further told that they have been working on it for a few years now, and that he would not call it an Ultimate set, as they keep finding stuff, but it will be a very full set. “We're finding all kinds of scenes from dailies that have never been seen before. Beyond all of those things that you know about... there are some real treasures." He told.

There is still no official confirmation from Lucasfilm, but DigitalBits, known for their connections within the movie industry, has gotten information that the box could be slated for an October 2011 release.

As none of this is official yet, it should be taken as a (well-informed) rumour, but we will of course keep you posted with further news.
