Sony’s Playstation 3 will get its first 3D firmware upgrade in June, but initially this upgrade will only enable 3D games and not movies. Home Cinema Choise reports that there is also a firmware upgrade on its way, that will update the PS3 to be able to show 3D Blu-ray movies, but owners of the consol will have to wait until later this year.
This means that PS3 owners will not be among the first to enjoy 3D movies in their home when Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 3D is released on June 14, but will have to wait a few months more, or go out and buy a 3D enabled Blu-ray player.
