Warner Home Video will release The Blind Side as a Blu-ray Multi-pack (includes Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy) on the 9th of August and we have now received information on extras included in the set.
Starring Sandra Bullock (The Proposal, Miss Congeniality, Speed), whose tour de force performance earned her an Academy Award for this role, The Blind Side tells the inspirational true life account of American football star Michael Oher, played by newcomer Quinton Aaron.
Oher's journey from a difficult and poverty-stricken family background to becoming one of America's greatest sporting stars makes for a compelling and touching tale. At the start of the film, Michael is a teenager surviving on his own and virtually homeless when he is spotted on the street by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Bullock) soaked to the bone and wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the middle of winter.
Learning that the young man is one of her daughter's classmates, Leigh Anne invites him to stay at the Tuohy home for the night. What starts out as a gesture of kindness turns into something more as Michael becomes a fully fledged part of the Tuohy family despite the apparent differences in their backgrounds. As the family helps Michael fulfil his potential both on and off the football field, he leads them to some insightful self-discoveries.
The Blind Side is directed by John Lee Hancock (The Rookie) and alongside Sandra Bullock stars Tim McGraw (Four Christmases, Friday Night Lights), Jae Head (Hancock), Academy Award® winner Kathy Bates (Revolutionary Road, About Schmidt, Primary Colors, Dolores Claiborne) and Quintin Aaron as Michael Oher.
The movie was Oscar nominated for Best Picture and in addition to winning the Oscar for Best Actress, Sandra Bullock also won a Golden Globe for her performance.
The following extras will be included:
